Teach Men To Fish

The gift of recovery doesn’t come in a wrapped box with a bow on top. It’s not given. It’s learned.

Although fly-fishing is my favorite hobby, inspiring addicts to obtain freedom is my true passion. I’d love to share my story, and lessons learned over 31 years in my recovery journey.

My Talks

Recovery has taught me that no drug can deliver the highest of highs that life can. There’s no need for artificial stimulants when there’s joy around every corner. I’ve learned the hard way, and now live to tell about the wonderful world of recovery.

Each talk can be modified for length. Plus, I’ll be glad to speak on virtually any topic you like, as related to addiction and recovery (and even fly-fishing).

1—Addiction Steals. Recovery Heals.

This talk traces my roots in addiction, which most addicts will relate to, which led to brokenness in my mind, body and soul. It stole my sense of self while blinding me with obsession. Then, I’ll reveal what addicts can expect from treatment facilities, relapses and eventually, healing.

2—The Top Five Lessons to Make Recovery Stick

In this talk, I jump right into the cornerstone lessons that keep my recovery on the right path. I’ll reveal my mistakes along the way, with insight to how I endured hardship and grief, which helped me become a success in business, relationships and other phases of life.
